WIKI: DTMF stands for Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency, and it is a telecommunications signaling system used for transmitting digits or symbols over the voice channel of a telephone line. It's commonly associated with touch-tone dialing on telephones. DTMF assigns a specific audio frequency to each key on the telephone keypad, allowing callers to input numbers or symbols by pressing the corresponding keys. These dual tones are then decoded by the telephone network or other devices to register the input.
